Goe å koma heim te
(My family) feels good to come home to

This song is the most recent addition to the EP. It captures the feeling of growing up, having dreams, exploring the world, but still be able to come home afterwards.
It's also the most personal of the bunch, not being about my grandmother's farm.
But the mood of the song is heavily inspired by the fjords around Skyggestranda.

Kjell Braaten did the production on this and Nina Mikhalowa played viola as a ecco for the vocal in the 2 motif part.

lyrics

Norwegian Lyrics:
Å barnet drøyme øve fjord
Og silkemjuke bylgjer.
Om anna strand under ei sol
På leit mot stort og lite.
Når barne vakna i klåre morgon
Og drøymen letta og sola blenke
Mi mor, min far og mine syskjen
E gode å koma heim te.

Å barnet drøyme øve storm
Og øve vind og svale.
Og i den vinden bur ein song
Eit eventyr i dvale.
Når barnet vaknar i klåre morgon
Og drøymen lette og sola blenke.
Mi mor, min far og mine syskjen
E gode å koma heim te.

Og mannen gjenge øve fjell og øve toppar kvite.
Med harde hud på bare bein
På søken etter vite.
Når dagen røyne og sola sige
Og stjernar blenkar og månen stige
Mi mor, min far og mine syskjen
E gode å koma heim te.

English lyrics:
The child dreams across the fjord and the silky soft waves.
He dreams of a distant shore beneath a shining sun. He looks for small and great things.
When he wakes in the morning,
The dream drifts away in the sun light.
My mother, my father and my siblings, it feels good/safe to come home to them.

The child dreams over the storm
And above vinds and svale ("svale" could mean cool breeze, but its also the name of a very fast type of bird)
And inside that wind, there lives a song. A slumbering story.
When the child wakes in the morning.
And the dream vanish in the sun light.
My mother, my father and my siblings, it feels good/safe to come home to them.

The man walks over mountains and white peaks. His feet are bare, and the skin on his feet is hard.
He seeks knowledge.
When the day is over, and the sun sets.
The stars twinkle and the moon rise
My mother, my father and my siblings, it feels good/safe to come home to them.
